DMACK Launches Prize Scheme & New Tyre Range For Junior BRC

For the second consecutive season, DMACK will offer financial support to young drivers in the MSA British Rally Championship with a cash prize incentive scheme.

Any driver using DMACK tyres to win the Junior BRC category will receive a prize of £550 per round. In addition, if a DMACK driver wins the overall Junior BRC championship, they will be invited to the M-Sport season-ending shoot-out to fight for a funded scholarship in the Junior World Rally Championship in 2018.

Young drivers in the BRC are set to be even more competitive this year with a new range of British designed and built products, fine-tuned for the UK stages. DMACK will launch an all-new gravel tyre, the DMG+22 in an upgraded soft compound, for round one at the Border Counties Rally.

Then the new DMT-RC2 Tarmac tyre, which features the tread pattern used at WRC level, will be ready for competitors to battle at Ypres in June.

Both gravel and Tarmac products will offer much improved performance, with compounds and technology lifted straight from the company’s world rally championship experience, where it has scored 33 fastest stage times on both surfaces over the last 12 months.

Dick Cormack, DMACK managing director, said: “DMACK provided a huge prize to the Junior competitors last season and once again we are demonstrating our commitment to future talent in British rallying. We are also the only organisation providing an option for career progression for the second season, with the shoot-out entry giving competitors an opportunity to progress onto the world rally stage.

“The new tyres for this year will see a significant step forward, we’ve used all our knowledge from WRC to produce what we believe will be the best products on both surfaces for all BRC competitors this season.”
