DMACK Extends Supply Contract To South American Rally Championship

British tyre manufacturer DMACK has extended its contract as sole tyre supplier to the FIA CODASUR South American Rally Championship after agreeing terms for another two years. The deal sees DMACK as tyre partner to the series for four consecutive seasons having begun its relationship in 2013.

The popular championship features five demanding rounds across the continent – kicking off with Rally Argentina in April before visiting events in Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia and Uruguay.

Each event features up to 180km of special stages run across a variety of tough gravel surfaces including loose sand, clay, dirt and mud terrain. Competitors will continue to use DMACK’s DMG2 gravel tyre in the medium G42 compound, which has proved to be both competitive and extremely versatile across the range of conditions.

It has been developed using technology from DMACK’s world rally programme and features a tough construction, adaptable tread pattern and Kevlar-strengthened sidewalls offering a solid level of puncture resistance.

The DMG2 is popular with competitors who have built up a strong level of confidence in the product and are keen to be associated with DMACK’s world title-winning performances in the FIA World Rally Championship.

On event distribution, fitting and technical support is provided by DMACK’s partner Distrimotor, with the tyre firm’s American sales manager Paul Handal providing guidance through liaison with competitors and teams.

Paul Handal, DMACK America sales manager, said: “DMACK has established itself as both a high-performance and extremely credible brand across South America. We’ve got a strong relationship with the FIA CODASUR series as we bring a product packed with technology from competition at the top level of the sport which is both competitive and cost-effective. The model is a true example of how our WRC activities filter down to successful regional and national championships.”
