DMACK Beats the Rain in Spain

DMACK led its third FIA World Rally Championship event this season after Ott Tanak blasted through the opening 3.2km street stage in Barcelona 2.7 seconds faster than anyone else. The Estonian, along with co-driver Raigo Molder, were top of the class as they stole the show in front of thousands of fans who lined up at spectator stage in Montjuic.

The result sees DMACK hold a slender lead going into tomorrow's six gravel stages. It's set to be a tough first full day with no service opportunities, just a remote zone to change tyres.

After leading until the final stage in Poland and at Rally Finland, Tanak's performance sees DMACK hold the top spot for the third time this season, helped by its new range of British-built rally tyres.

Dick Cormack, DMACK managing director, said: "We've made significant progress this season and this is another great drive from Ott. The mixed weather conditions and difficult stages will ensure a tough weekend but it's fantastic to be at the top of the overall classification overnight."
